Overview
- The summit will be jointly inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and French President Emmanuel Macron on Sunday, June 14, and Infosys founder N. R. Narayana Murthy will deliver the opening keynote.
- Organisers say 120 Indian innovators, about 15 higher-education institutions and over 500 investors and industry partners are expected to take part, with 16 deep‑tech startups from IIT Bombay travelling to Nice to present.
- The event covers 13 deep‑tech sectors including semiconductors, space, biotech, advanced computing, energy and manufacturing, and was curated by a Technical Oversight Committee chaired by Principal Scientific Adviser Ajay Kumar Sood.
- Organisers position the forum to connect hard‑technology teams with patient capital, corporate R&D units and research institutions so projects can move from lab prototypes to pilots, manufacturing partnerships and market entry.
- Beyond one-off investment, the summit is designed to produce cross‑border co‑development, technology transfers and formal collaboration frameworks that could speed industrial adoption of Indian deep tech.
