Overview
- Bethesda confirmed the Fallout 4 Creations storage expansion will roll out on Wednesday, May 27, 2026.
- Xbox Series X and S will gain scalable Creations storage up to 100 GB, and Xbox One, PS4 and PS5 will increase from about 1–2 GB to roughly 15 GB.
- The update will reset existing console load orders so Bethesda advises players to save their load order to Bethesda.net before the patch and notes game saves older than November 10, 2025 may be affected.
- The larger storage will let console players install higher‑quality graphics mods and much bigger loadouts, but PC‑only tools such as the Fallout 4 Script Extender will still prevent some advanced mods from running on consoles.
- The rollout closes a long-standing technical limit that was due in November 2025 but delayed, and it could push mod creators to prepare larger console builds while leaving some projects dependent on further developer support or PC tools.
