Overview
- S-Bahn Berlin said Wednesday morning that delays and restrictions continue on lines S46, S47, S8, S85 and S9 in the Baumschulenweg area.
- Current patterns include the S47 running only between Spindlersfeld and Schöneweide and the S46 running every 20 minutes between Grünau and Hermannstraße.
- The S8 runs only Birkenwerder to Treptower Park and Schöneweide to Grünau or Wildau, with the S9 ending at Schöneweide and the S85 reaching BER via Altglienicke.
- Passengers are told to switch lines on affected gaps, including using the S46 between Schöneweide and Südkreuz and the S85 or S9 between Treptower Park and Schöneweide.
- The operator has not given a timeframe for full restoration after Monday’s signal repair and Tuesday’s cable theft started a multi-day disruption on an east Berlin corridor that also carries airport traffic.
