Bengaluru Yellow Line Metro to Start One Hour Late on Sunday

BMRCL cites scheduled maintenance requiring extra pre-service checks.

Overview

  • Services on the RV Road–Bommasandra corridor will begin at 8:00 a.m. on Sunday, one hour later than the usual 7:00 a.m. start.
  • The delay is limited to the Yellow Line for a single day, and other Namma Metro corridors will follow normal Sunday schedules.
  • Passengers needing to travel before 8:00 a.m. are advised to use BMTC buses, autos or other options and to check the Namma Metro app and station announcements for updates.
  • Interchange trips involving the Yellow Line will not be possible until trains start running, and crowding is expected near 8:00 a.m. at busy stations such as Central Silk Board, Jayadeva and Bommasandra.
  • Separately on Saturday evening, a train snag on the Yellow Line led to reduced frequency of about 19 minutes for the remainder of the day, according to BMRCL.
