Bengaluru Villa Case: Teen Alleges Drugging, Gang Rape as Accused Filed Prior Extortion FIR

Police have opened parallel inquiries based on cross-FIRs filed at two Bengaluru stations.

Overview

  • A 19-year-old college student reported that two men, identified in reports as Dixon Sando and Nikhil, forced a pink pill on her at a Jakkur villa late on February 14 before sexually assaulting her.
  • Amruthahalli Police registered an FIR under Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita provisions including gang rape, criminal intimidation and related charges after the student sought medical care and filed her complaint.
  • A day earlier, Malleshwaram Police registered an extortion FIR after Nikhil alleged the student and a caller claiming to be from a regional news channel demanded money and threatened defamatory broadcasts.
  • Investigators said medical, forensic, CCTV and other digital material are being examined, with statements from involved parties being recorded to establish the sequence of events.
  • The student posted a video alleging the men target multiple women, a claim media outlets say they have not independently verified as police maintain that action will follow evidence.
