Bengaluru Power Cuts Today for Maintenance, Mysuru Sets Outages for Feb 11–12

Officials say the preventive work aims to cut future breakdowns, urging residents to prepare.

Scheduled BESCOM shutdowns are active across Bengaluru today in two windows, 10:00 am–4:00 pm and 10:00 am–5:00 pm, with some areas facing up to seven hours without supply.
Affected Bengaluru pockets include Koramangala, HSR Layout, BTM Layout, Jayanagar, stretches along Bannerghatta Road, Electronics City Phase-1, Bommanahalli, and surrounding localities.
CESC has announced separate quarterly maintenance in Mysuru, with disruptions on Feb. 11 across areas linked to Rajivnagar, Devanur, and VV Mohalla subdivisions, and further outages on Feb. 12 tied to Bannimantap and Jyothi centres.
Utilities cite infrastructure upgrades, cable and transformer work, and safety inspections as the purpose of the shutdowns intended to bolster network reliability.
Residents and businesses have been advised to charge devices, plan around the outage windows, use backup power where available, and note that restoration times may vary with on‑site progress.
