Overview
- BMRCL started rolling-stock tests on January 11 on the 7.5 km Kalena Agrahara–Tavarekere stretch, with completion expected by mid-April 2026.
- The programme covers traction and braking checks, oscillation trials at varying speeds, and integration with signalling, power and telecom systems.
- Trials are running with a six-coach BEML trainset delivered in December 2025, with additional trainsets expected in early 2026 to support commissioning.
- The elevated section is targeted to open around May 2026 subject to statutory clearances, while the underground Dairy Circle–Nagawara segment is aimed for December 2026.
- The Pink Line totals about 21.25 km with 18 stations from Kalena Agrahara to Nagawara, offering key interchanges at Jayadeva Hospital, MG Road, Nagawara and JP Nagar 4th Phase.
