Overview
- The airport moved more than 2,700 metric tonnes of roses to 26 international and 47 domestic destinations during the Valentine’s peak.
- Stem volumes rose 38% and overall tonnage increased 64% from last season, which BIAL says reinforces a five-year lead in perishable exports.
- International shipments totaled 305 MT, led by Singapore, with Kuala Lumpur, Abu Dhabi, New York and Kuwait following.
- New overseas destinations this season included Los Angeles, Dallas–Fort Worth, Orlando, London Gatwick and Toronto.
- Domestic uplift reached 2,402 MT, up 79% year on year, with Delhi and Kolkata leading demand while Kolkata, Mumbai, Chandigarh and Lucknow grew by more than 150%.
