Overview
- DRPA will shut the bridge to vehicles from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, July 11 so the roadway can be used by pedestrians and the pedestrian walkway will remain closed until 2:30 p.m.
- The Camden-side festival runs from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and will offer free family programming including historical displays, music, food trucks, performances, and a displayed 'Winged Victory' statue from the bridge’s 1926 opening.
- PATCO will continue service across the bridge with increased frequency for the event and DRPA will operate continuous, complimentary shuttles between PATCO’s Franklin Square and Camden City Hall stations and the event entrance to reduce car traffic.
- Bicycles may ride on the roadway but are restricted from the main party area, and DRPA has identified Jersey-side parking options such as free lots at Rutgers–Camden and a paid garage at Camden Technology Center.
- Organizers say the event will proceed rain or shine with no practical rain date, and they encourage advance registration to help manage crowd size and safety during the unusual temporary opening of the travel lanes.
