Beltrán, Jones and Kent Headed to Cooperstown for 2026 Hall of Fame Induction

Their enshrinement underscores how both BBWAA ballots and era committees determine who gains entry to baseball’s Hall of Fame.

Overview

  • Carlos Beltrán, Andruw Jones and Jeff Kent will be inducted at the Hall of Fame ceremony in Cooperstown on Sunday.
  • The ceremony begins at 1:30 p.m. ET and will be shown exclusively on MLB Network with streams available at MLB.com, the MLB App, and baseballhall.org.
  • Beltrán earned election on the BBWAA ballot with 84.2% of votes and joins an elite group with at least 400 home runs and 300 stolen bases.
  • Jones is enshrined after a long ballot run as one of the game’s top defensive center fielders with 10 Gold Gloves and 434 career home runs, and Kent was elected by the 16-member Contemporary Baseball Era Committee with 14 votes and remains the all-time home run leader at second base.
  • Saturday’s weekend programming includes the Hall of Fame Awards Presentation and Parade of Legends, with Joe Buck receiving the Ford C. Frick Award and other honors extending the celebration beyond the player inductions.
