- BMC says the reconstruction of the east–west connector at Mumbai Central is complete and ready for use.
- The project finished in 15 months and six days, roughly four months ahead of the tendered schedule.

- Western Railway is constructing a staircase to restore the foot overbridge connection altered by the higher new alignment, with the reopening expected to ease congestion between Tardeo, Nagpada and Mumbai Central.
