- Beck announced Wednesday, July 15 that Ride Lonesome will be released on Sept. 18 via Capitol Records.
- He issued a second preview single, “In The Night,” with a cinematic video directed by Mikai Karl and featuring actor Denis Lavant.
- Beck produced the album himself at Room B, United Studios in Hollywood while longtime collaborator Nigel Godrich mixed the record.
- The record was made with the musicians who played on Sea Change, Morning Phase and Mutations — Smokey Hormel, Joey Waronker, Justin Meldal‑Johnson, Roger Joseph Manning Jr., and Jason Falkner — and will be supported by a North American Lonesome Ride tour starting Sept. 16 in Vancouver.
