Beat & Bark Festival Set for F60 in September

Organizers plan a mix of live events, dog sports and on-site camping on the decommissioned conveyor bridge to build on the site’s festival reuse.

Overview

  • The inaugural Beat & Bark is planned for 25–27 September at the Besucherbergwerk F60 near Bergheider See and is aimed at dog owners and their pets.
  • Program items announced by organizers include dog dance, Dog‑Frisbee, dog‑golf and stand‑up‑paddle sessions that allow dogs to join owners on the water.
  • Attendees will be able to camp at the F60 site during the festival, and organizers say there will be workshops and activities for people and dogs.
  • The F60 is a large, walkable industrial monument of roughly 11,000 tonnes of steel, about 500 meters long and nearly 80 meters high, and it already hosts recurring events such as the annual Feel festival.
  • Coverage so far is an event announcement and does not include details on ticketing, permitting or animal welfare and safety measures, which organizers have not yet published.
