- Multiple outlets report the BCCI has moved to a three-tier central-contracts system for 2025–26, removing the A+ bracket.
- Shubman Gill, Jasprit Bumrah and Ravindra Jadeja are the only Grade A selections, with Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma placed in Grade B after retiring from Tests and T20Is.
