BCCI Confirms WPL 2026 Schedule With MI–RCB Opener and Weekday Final in Vadodara

The league shifts to a January–February window to avoid clashes with men’s ICC events.

Overview

  • Season runs from January 9 to February 5 across Navi Mumbai and Vadodara, starting with Mumbai Indians vs Royal Challengers Bengaluru at DY Patil Stadium.
  • The Eliminator is scheduled for February 3 and the Final for Thursday, February 5 at Kotambi Stadium in Vadodara.
  • The 28-day, five-team campaign features a double round-robin with 22 league matches and two Saturday double-headers on January 10 and 17.
  • DY Patil hosts the first 11 fixtures from January 9–17 before the tournament moves to Vadodara from January 19, with evening starts except the early games on double-header days.
  • The schedule was finalized after the November 27 mega auction and was set to steer clear of the men’s U-19 World Cup final on February 6 and the Men’s T20 World Cup beginning February 7.
