Overview
- A vehicle pursuit that began in Mankato ended in a St. Peter home where officers and the suspect exchanged gunfire during a June 18 standoff, the BCA said.
- The Ramsey County Medical Examiner identified the suspect as 21-year-old Jordan Michael Donahue, who was later found dead inside the house with gunshot wounds.
- The BCA named St. Peter Officer Austin Buss and Nicollet County Sgt. Dustin Struckman as the officers who fired and placed both on routine critical-incident leave.
- Officer Buss was shot in the arm and treated with multiple surgeries and is expected to be released from the hospital with a community procession planned and union-run donations set up to support his recovery.
- The BCA is reviewing body-camera footage and forensic evidence and will send its investigation to the Nicollet County Attorney without a recommendation, leaving charging decisions to the prosecutor once medical and ballistic analyses are complete.
