- The BBC announced on Wednesday, June 24, 2026 that Gladiators will return in 2027 with 11 hour-long episodes plus a standalone 60-minute celebrity special filmed at Sheffield’s Utilita Arena and fronted again by Bradley and Barney Walsh.
- The series is produced by Hungry Bear Media in partnership with MGM Alternative UK, the BBC said, linking the show to Amazon MGM Studios through the production deal.
- Producers confirmed core events such as Duel, Hang Tough and the Eliminator will be retained, fan favourites Everest, Destruction and Suspension Bridge will return, and a new, as-yet-unrevealed event will join the arena line-up.
