BBB 26 Sets Jan. 9 ‘Big Day’ Reveal, With Audience Choosing Entrants

Overview

• On Friday, Jan. 9, Tadeu Schmidt will present 20 Pipoca candidates during ‘Big Day’ as they enter five Glass Houses in São Caetano do Sul, Brasília, Salvador, Manaus and Porto Alegre, with voting on gshow to pick one man and one woman from each.
• Globoplay will stream all Glass Houses live and host the Maratona Big Day, while TV Globo airs the three-episode ‘Seleção BBB’ recap on Jan. 9 and 10 after Três Graças and announces the ten chosen Pipocas on Sunday, Jan. 11 after Domingão com Huck.
• The season premieres Monday, Jan. 12, when the full cast enters the house and Globo reveals the Camarote celebrities and the new Veteranos group of returning ex-BBBs.
• Format updates include three participant groups, three Big Fones whose messages are defined by public input, and a ‘Laboratório’ reserve pool that can replace underperforming housemates during the season.
• Production has completed selections and promos, candidates are already sequestered, and a Fantástico special on Jan. 11 will show how the house and cast were assembled.
