Overview
- The new network links Murnau and Rosenheim via Bad Tölz with hourly buses on two branches, avoiding detours through Munich.
- Line X990 will run Murnau–Bad Tölz and Line X380 will run Bad Tölz–Rosenheim, with service from 06:00–21:00 on weekdays and from 07:00 on weekends.
- An express Line X381 will operate from Bad Tölz, alternating to Miesbach and Gmund with limited stops.
- The Free State will cover the operating deficit at 65% in year one, 60% in year two, 55% in year three, and 50% thereafter, with up to €2.28 million per year cited.
- A unified fare takes effect on January 1, 2026 when Garmisch-Partenkirchen joins the MVV, which MVV says can save commuters time and money with a single-ticket zone.
