Battlefield 6 Sets 2026 Roadmap With Naval Warfare, Bigger Maps, Ranked Play

The plan answers player calls for bigger maps, naval combat, plus a real server browser.

Overview

  • Battlefield Studios, which unveiled the 2026 roadmap Thursday, set out a slate of new maps and features across Seasons 3 to 5.
  • Season 3 in May adds Railway to Golmud, a rework of BF4’s map that is nearly four times the size of Mirak Valley, plus Cairo Bazaar later in the season and REDSEC battle royale solos with ranked quads and leaderboards.
  • Season 4 in July introduces Naval Warfare with Tsuru Reef and the return of Wake Island, bringing operational aircraft carriers, new sea vehicles, and a dynamic wave system, alongside Spectator Mode and Custom Lobbies.
  • Season 5 in the fall is teased to deliver three maps in one “holiday” drop, including a location new to the Battlefield franchise.
  • Across 2026 the studio plans priority community tools including a server browser with persistent servers, proximity chat, platoons, leaderboards, and broader competitive play with Open and Elite series, though many features do not yet have firm dates.
