Overview
- Battlefield Studios, which unveiled the plan on Thursday, detailed Seasons 3–5 for 2026 with new maps, competitive options and quality-of-life features.
- Season 3 in May brings Railway to Golmud, billed as the biggest map yet at nearly four times Mirak Valley, plus Cairo Bazaar, solo matchmaking in REDSEC (the game’s free battle royale) and ranked play starting in battle royale quads.
- Season 4 in July introduces Naval Warfare to Battlefield 6 and REDSEC through Tsuru Reef and the returning Wake Island, complete with functional aircraft carriers, new naval vehicles, a dynamic wave system, Spectator Mode and custom lobbies.
- Throughout 2026 the studio plans leaderboards, proximity chat, Platoons for larger groups, and a server browser with persistent servers, alongside targeted reworks for New Sobek City and Blackwell Fields that will iterate through Battlefield Labs.
- Season 5 in the fall delivers three maps including a location new to the franchise, part of a recovery push after player feedback centered on small map sizes and missing tools like server browsers and leaderboards.
