- Season 3 begins Tuesday, May 12 with Game Update 1.3.1.0 after brief server downtime, adding the Golmud Railway map, Ranked REDSEC, and a new battle pass.
- Golmud Railway reimagines a Battlefield 4 favorite as the biggest Battlefield 6 map yet, answering early complaints about tight playspaces and limited maneuver room.
- Ranked REDSEC, the game’s battle royale mode, debuts with a Quads playlist, leaderboards, stat tracking, and ranked rewards that include cosmetics and XP tokens.
- The season rolls out more content in June with Cairo Bazaar and the return of Obliteration on June 9, then an 8v8 Tactical Obliteration and a Casual BR playlist with bots on June 30.
- Looking ahead, DICE targets July for naval combat maps and ocean tech plus community staples like a Server Browser, Persistent Servers, Platoons, Spectator Mode, and proximity chat, which are confirmed but not yet live.
