Battlefield 6 Lets Console Players Disable Cross-Play as PC Gets No Toggle

Turning it off narrows matchmaking to your platform, which can mean longer waits or bot-filled lobbies.

Overview

  • New guides from GameSpot, FandomWire, and IGN show the setting under Settings → System → Crossplay, and say the switch takes under 30 seconds.
  • The toggle is available on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S but does not appear on PC.
  • Cross-play is on by default, and the game's preferred matching prioritizes console lobbies but can add PC players if numbers are low.
  • Disabling cross-play confines you to same-platform opponents and can increase queue times or trigger bot backfill when lobbies are short.
  • To play with friends on other systems you must keep cross-play on, and PS5 and Xbox support keyboard and mouse as an input option confirmed by DICE’s Alexia Christofi.
