Basque Towns Roll Out Agenda 2030 School Action, Peru Abarka Call and 'Irabazi Arte' Screening

  • Luis Ezeiza and Almeneko schools launched the Eskolako Agenda 2030 intervention in Eskoriatza, with the first activity scheduled for Wednesday, January 28.
  • Student representatives were to meet at 10:00 in the town square to plant a tree by the bike path near the tunnel entrance, following classroom work on terrestrial ecosystems.
  • Ahead of the planting, Dani Zuazagoitia delivered a talk titled Approaching the Life of Earth’s Ecosystems to support the curriculum focus.
  • Markina-Xemein opened submissions for the Peru Abarka 2026 narrative contest through February 27 for entrants aged 18 and over in a single adult-literature category, offering a €2,000 prize with publication by Erein in album format.
  • Organizers will notify the winner directly and then launch a related illustration contest, while Azkoitia will host a Sunday 17:00 screening of Irabazi arte’s season 5 first episode at Baztartxoa with advance tickets at www.azkoitia.eus.
