- Heavy weekend rains caused rivers to run turbid and raised microbiological indicators, including Enterococcus and E.coli, triggering the health alert.
- On Tuesday the Department of Health recommended banning bathing at six Gipuzkoa beaches — Saturraran, Ondarbeltz, Mutriku Puerto, Zarautz, Deba and Santiago — and identified several affected beaches in Bizkaia.
