Barclays Sees £1.1 Billion Fan Spend for Harry Styles’ 12-Night Wembley Run

Barclays says the run showcases rising concert tourism as fans prioritize shared experiences over other costs.

Overview

  • Barclays, citing an Opinium poll released Tuesday, projects average spending of about £981 per attendee and roughly £1.06–£1.1 billion in total across 12 Wembley dates that begin on June 12.
  • Surveyed fans reported typical outlays of £143.20 on tickets, £141.20 on accommodation, £103.10 on transport and £103.10 on food and drinks before the show.
  • Per-person spending is set to exceed Barclays’ figures for Taylor Swift’s 2024 Eras Tour (£848) and Oasis Live ’25 (£766) because Styles’ UK dates are confined to London, which pushes up travel and overnight costs.
  • About one million ticket-holders are expected to travel to the capital, which Barclays says will lift takings for hotels, restaurants, shops and official merchandise sellers during the residency.
  • The forecast comes from an Opinium survey of 2,000 people plus 200 ticket-holders polled April 28 to May 1, which also found nine in ten plan a fan trend, 63% plan a themed look and average merch spend is about £102.
