- FC Barcelona delivered a complete dossier to UEFA that the club says includes the required technical, contractual and institutional guarantees and cites backing from the Barcelona city council, the Generalitat de Catalunya and the Spanish Football Federation (RFEF).
- The UEFA evaluation phase is now open and the decision on the 2029 final host is expected at the UEFA Executive Committee meeting on 15 September 2026.
- Construction is advanced but unfinished: the third tier is structurally complete and will open in three subphases, the club plans to reach about 80,000 seats after phase two and about 105,000 after a May 2027 phase three.
