Overview
- The Bank of Scotland unveiled the commemorative £20 note in late May, using artwork inspired by Scott McTominay’s overhead kick that helped seal Scotland’s World Cup qualification.
- Only 100 of the notes were produced to create a scarce collectible and to mark Scotland’s return to the men’s World Cup for the first time since 1998.
- Fifty notes will be made available to the public through collector auctions, a prize draw and two pop-up vault events in Glasgow and Edinburgh.
- Proceeds from the auctions and prize draw will support Crisis Scotland, the homelessness charity named by the bank as the beneficiary of funds raised.
- The online auction and prize-draw window is open now and closes at 11:00 on 26 June 2026, with Scotland due to begin its World Cup campaign on 11 June 2026.
