Bank Leumi to Offer Bitcoin, Ether and Solana Trading Through Galaxy Partnership

Galaxy will supply trading and custody technology for a Leumi Trade and PEPPER rollout that remains subject to final Bank of Israel approval.

Overview

  • Bank Leumi and Galaxy Digital announced the partnership on August 14, 2026, and said customers could access trading targeted for early 2027 if the Bank of Israel signs off.
  • The offering will be custodial: customers will buy, hold, and sell bitcoin, ether and solana inside the Leumi Trade app and PEPPER mobile service without managing private keys.
  • Galaxy will provide execution via GalaxyOne Institutional and custody technology from its Galaxy Custody Infrastructure (formerly GK8), rather than Leumi building the stack in-house.
  • Leumi serves about 2.5 million retail clients, so an approved launch would put crypto trading inside a mainstream Israeli banking app and remove the need to move funds to separate exchanges.
  • Key commercial and operational details remain undisclosed, including fees, withdrawal rules, phased rollout plans, customer eligibility, and whether more tokens will be added after launch.
