Bank Employee Among 3 Arrested in Marin Robbery Scheme Targeting Cash Withdrawals

Investigators say bank surveillance led them to a suspect vehicle tied to a branch employee.

Overview

  • Marin County sheriff’s detectives with Novato and San Rafael police served warrants on Feb. 4 in San Pablo and Vallejo, arresting three suspects who were booked into Marin County Jail.
  • The suspects are Alexander Cunningham, 30, of San Pablo; Danielle Torres, 29, of Vallejo; and Alexis Flores, 25, identified in reports as a bank employee, all held on suspicion of conspiracy with additional counts that include robbery, drug and weapons offenses.
  • Jail records also list child‑cruelty charges for Flores and Cunningham, and an added count alleging cruelty toward a dependent adult for Flores.
  • Authorities link three armed robberies on Sept. 1, Nov. 29 and Jan. 14 to the group, with two victims robbed at their homes and one outside a San Rafael business after withdrawing cash from the same bank; a gun was used in each case.
  • Searches recovered key evidence including $160,000 in cash at Cunningham’s residence, an unserialized firearm, several thousand dollars in hundred‑dollar bills and Hello Kitty–themed jewelry, as the investigation continues.
