Banco Provincia Raises Cuenta DNI July Caps for Restaurants and YPF Full

The bank timed the changes to the winter school break to boost local spending and will deliver automatic reimbursements and digital financing to users.

Overview

  • Banco Provincia announced the July update in early July, increasing reimbursement caps on Cuenta DNI to encourage spending during the July 20–31 school vacation in CABA and Buenos Aires.
  • Gastronomy now receives a 25% rebate every day with a $10,000 weekly reimbursement cap that is reached after about $40,000 in weekly spending.
  • YPF Full stores get a 25% weekend rebate with a $10,000 cap per weekend, and the offer explicitly excludes fuel purchases.
  • The wallet keeps its broad set of category discounts such as 20% for local shops, 40% for ferias and garrafas, 30% for selected brands, and day-specific bookstore and pharmacy discounts, each with set caps and required spending to reach full rebates.
  • Cuenta DNI serves more than 10 million users, requires DNI scans and RENAPER facial validation to activate, applies reimbursements automatically within roughly 10 days, and offers up to three interest-free NFC installments on linked credit cards except at food merchants.
