Bajaj Revamps Chetak E-Scooters With Google Maps, Faster Charging and Higher Top Speeds

The company keeps prices flat to add value in a crowded e-scooter market.

  • Bajaj Auto updated the Chetak electric scooter lineup Wednesday with a new C Series naming that groups models as C35, C30 and C25.
  • Software and features step up: the C3501 adds Google Maps in the Chetak app, the C3501 and C3502 gain over the air updates, and ride modes with hill-hold are now standard on C35 and C30.
  • Top speeds rise across the range, reaching 80 km/h on C3501 and C3502, 70 km/h on C3503 and C3001, and 60 km/h on C2501, with the C3501’s motor now peaking at 4.8 kW.
  • Charging improves on the C3001, which now goes from 0 to 80 percent in 2 hours 55 minutes, down from 3 hours 50 minutes.
  • Prices remain unchanged, with examples in Bengaluru at Rs 89,500 for C2501, Rs 99,500 for C3001 and Rs 1.02–1.34 lakh for C35, while claimed ranges are up to 153 km (C35), 127 km (C30) and 113 km (C25).
