Overview
- The update, disclosed Tuesday on Bajaj’s website, shows the NS400Z now running a 349.13cc single with rated outputs of 40.6 PS and 33.2 Nm.
- Compared with the 373cc version, peak figures drop by about 2.4 PS and 1.8 Nm, with power now at 9,000 rpm and torque at 7,500 rpm.
- Bajaj cut displacement by shortening the stroke to 56.1 mm from 60.0 mm while keeping the 89 mm bore, a change that shifts peak delivery higher in the rev range.
- The chassis, brakes, suspension and electronics carry over unchanged, and the ex-showroom Delhi price remains listed around Rs 1.93–1.94 lakh.
- The move aligns the Pulsar with an industry trend that brings 400cc-class models under 350cc to qualify for an 18% GST rate instead of roughly 40% above that threshold.
