Overview
- The updated Dominar, launched Monday in India, is priced at about Rs 2.03–2.04 lakh ex-showroom after a roughly Rs 37,000 reduction.
- By trimming displacement below 350cc, the bike now qualifies for the 18% GST slab that applies to smaller engines instead of the higher rate used before.
- The reworked single keeps an 89 mm bore but shortens stroke from 60 mm to 56.1 mm, producing about 40–40.6 bhp and 33.2 Nm.
- Kerb weight drops by around 3 kg to roughly 190 kg, and the model carries over full-LED lighting, twin digital displays, USD fork, rear monoshock and dual-channel ABS.
- Bajaj retains the Dominar 400 name despite the smaller engine, and the sharper price positions it closer to rivals such as the Triumph Speed 400.
