BA Ferial Opens at Costa Salguero Under Exponenciar Concession

A private 10-year concession backed by more than $20 billion plans to revive the waterfront exhibition hub as a year-round commercial and cultural destination.

Overview

  • The project was publicly launched in mid-June with Exponenciar, a company linked to LA NACION and Clarín, taking a 10-year concession to operate Sector Nº5 at Costa Salguero under a reported initial monthly canon of $240 million.
  • Exponenciar announced an investment exceeding $20,000 million to upgrade the site, with roughly $3,500 million for refurbishing existing pavilions and the remainder for demolition and new construction focused on long‑term modernization.
  • An 18-month works program will include demolition and rebuild of Pavilion 6 to add a 1,200 m² riverfront terrace while the venue remains open and begins hosting events in late June.
  • BA Ferial offers 20,500 m² of covered exhibition space across six pavilions, five auditoria and about 1,300 parking spaces, and will roll out free Wi‑Fi 7.0 capable of roughly 40,000 simultaneous connections as a commercial differentiator.
  • The operator is marketing more than 20 confirmed events for the rest of 2026, has opened the 2027 calendar, and will develop a gastronomy pole including an Angus-branded restaurant plus a corporate nightlife product called 'The Night' to drive year-round foot traffic and revenue.
