Overview
- Azul disclosed on Tuesday that NYSE American has approved the listing of its ordinary shares and American Depositary Shares, with ADS trading scheduled to begin on June 1, 2026 under the ticker AZUL.
- Each ADS will represent two ordinary shares and, once listed on NYSE American, Azul’s ADSs will stop being quoted on the OTC Markets while ordinary shares (AZUL3) remain listed on Brazil’s B3.
- Current holders of ordinary shares and ADSs do not need to take any action because of the NYSE American listing, the company said in its official market disclosure.
- CEO John Rodgerson described the listing as a key step after Azul completed judicial recovery on February 20, 2026 and said the company plans to seek an uplist to the main New York Stock Exchange in early July 2026 if it meets listing requirements.
- The NYSE American listing is a common stepping stone for growing companies and could increase liquidity and visibility among U.S. investors, though the planned uplist remains conditional on regulatory and listing approvals.
