- RM Sotheby’s has consigned the Formula Red NSX (chassis T000233, reg SX-25-59) for The London Auction on October 31, 2026 and says it will be offered with ownership and factory paperwork.
- The auction listing includes a warranty book, Portuguese ownership records and a Honda fax that RM Sotheby’s says confirms the car was supplied to Senna for his personal use.
- Senna tested early NSX prototypes and told engineers they felt “too fragile,” prompting Honda to stiffen the chassis and retune the suspension before production, which links this example to the car’s technical history.
- After Senna’s death the red NSX passed through private hands in the UK and Portugal, visited Imola in 2019 for a 25-year commemoration, and was bought by a consignor in Nagoya in 2024 before returning to the UK for sale.
- RM Sotheby’s estimates the sale at GBP 500,000–GBP 800,000 and says the Senna provenance and documentary exposure make it likely to attract strong collector interest above typical values for a 1991 NSX.
