Avatar Legends Reveals Year One DLC Lineup and Opens Pre-Orders

The announcement ties a pre-order-gated community vote to crossplay and rollback netcode to position the game for fans and competitive players.

Overview

  • Gameplay Group and PM Studios revealed the Year 1 Pass at EVO on June 27, 2026, naming Bolin, Ty Lee, Lin Beifong and Uncle Iroh as four confirmed DLC characters.
  • Pre-orders are live and grant closed beta access from July 2–5, gold color variants for legacy characters, and a Samurai Appa support skin as immediate bonuses.
  • A fifth Year 1 character will be decided by a limited community vote open only to pre-ordering players in late summer, with candidates Amon, Kuvira, Bumi, Asami and Tenzin.
  • The game will launch digitally on July 23, 2026 for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch and PC (Steam) with full crossplay; a Deluxe Edition bundles the Year 1 Pass, digital art book, soundtrack and HUDs and physical/Switch 2 releases will follow later in 2026.
  • Avatar Legends ships with hand-drawn 2D animation, a 12-character base roster, multiple single- and multiplayer modes, and rollback netcode plus crossplay to support both casual matches and competitive play, a design likely to boost early player engagement and tournament interest.
