AutoFlight Demonstrates Certified Autonomous Cargo eVTOL in Guizhou Tea Run

The point-to-point flight fed China’s high-speed rail to deliver fresh tea to Shanghai within a day.

Overview

  • AutoFlight used its unmanned CarryAll V2000CG to fly fresh spring tea about 120 kilometers from Anshun to Guiyang in 37 minutes.
  • After the flight, the tea moved by high-speed rail nearly 2,000 kilometers to Shanghai, which enabled delivery the same day.
  • The quick hop replaced hours on winding mountain roads, keeping the tea fresher and giving rural growers faster access to big-city buyers.
  • The all-electric aircraft flies without a pilot on board and can take off and land vertically, so it avoids the need for runways in steep terrain.
  • AutoFlight says the CarryAll can haul up to 400 kilograms and has CAAC type, production, and airworthiness certificates, while its six-seat passenger model is in Phase IV of certification.
