Overview
- Raytheon said it has delivered the first Next Generation Jammer pods to the Royal Australian Air Force for use on EA-18G Growler aircraft.
- The jammer uses active electronically scanned arrays in the mid-band to disrupt enemy radars and communications, which helps crews stay undetected and complete missions more safely.
- Initial shipsets were delivered ahead of schedule in September 2025, with additional deliveries set to continue through 2026.
- Raytheon is standing up in-country deployment help and maintenance in Australia to speed integration and keep the system at high readiness.
- The program is a U.S. Navy–RAAF partnership that replaces legacy ALQ-99 pods and supports Australia’s 2026 defense priorities for electronic warfare and suppression of enemy air defenses.
