Overview
- Officers located 32-year-old Josh Ryan Trumble after multiple 911 calls and bodycam shows an officer deploying a Taser within seconds as officers moved to handcuff him on Saturday, June 6.
- Trumble became unresponsive moments after being handcuffed; officers began CPR and Austin Fire and EMS provided advanced resuscitation for about 38 minutes before he was pronounced dead at 7:18 p.m.
- APD identified seven involved officers and placed them on administrative leave and the department released redacted body-worn camera, Ring, 911 and police radio recordings to provide context.
