Austin Dillon Sets Texas O’Reilly Series Start in RCR No. 3

Boot Barn extends its partnership with Richard Childress Racing into a third season.

  • Richard Childress Racing announced Monday that Austin Dillon will drive the Boot Barn No. 3 Chevrolet in the NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series race at Texas Motor Speedway.
  • The Andy’s Frozen Custard 340 is set for Saturday, May 2, at 3:30 p.m. ET and will air on the CW Network, PRN and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio.
  • The Texas entry marks the first O’Reilly start of 2026 for RCR’s No. 3 after the team earlier fielded a No. 33 car for Cleetus McFarland.
  • Dillon owns a strong record at Texas with a 2020 Cup win and, in 11 O’Reilly starts there, six top fives, a 5.7 average finish and no results outside the top 10.
  • The 2013 series champion has nine O’Reilly wins since 2008 and enters the week 27th in Cup points with a season-best 12th at Las Vegas.
