Audi Reveals Q9 Interior for Flagship Three-Row SUV

The three-row flagship signals Audi’s plan to restore a halo model above the Q7.

Overview

  • Audi released official Q9 interior images on Tuesday, previewing the cabin before a late-July world premiere.
  • All four doors open and close electrically for the first time on an Audi, with surround sensors that stop a door if a cyclist or obstacle is detected.
  • Buyers can choose six or seven seats, with optional second-row captain’s chairs and power-folding third-row backrests for easier cargo changes.
  • The panoramic glass roof spans about 1.5 square metres and can switch nine sections from clear to opaque, with higher trims adding 84 LEDs for ambient lighting.
  • The tech-led cabin features a triple-screen setup, an updated Bang & Olufsen 4D audio system with headrest speakers and seat actuators, Qi2.2 dual wireless phone charging, and the model rides on Volkswagen Group’s PPC platform expected to support hybrid powertrains.
