Audi Refreshes A3 With Curved Panoramic Cockpit and New Driver Aids

A cabin-led facelift modernizes controls, adds advanced driver-assist systems, and preserves the S3/RS3 performance engines.

Overview

  • Audi announced the mid-2026 A3 facelift on Tuesday, June 23, 2026, centered on a single curved 'panoramic cockpit' that combines an 11.9-inch virtual cockpit and a 12.8-inch MMI display into one driver-oriented screen.
  • The update restores physical steering-wheel buttons, adds four material trim packages and an angled 25-watt wireless charging tray to improve everyday usability and cabin feel.
  • Audi expanded its ADAS into tiered Tech packs and introduced Adaptive Cruise Assist Plus for longitudinal and lateral control up to 210 km/h (130 mph) plus upgraded park-assist options with remote parking and a training function that learns parking maneuvers.
  • Mechanical layouts stay largely unchanged so S3 and RS3 performance models remain in the range with roughly 333 hp for the S3 and about 400 hp for the RS3, and plug-in hybrids receive revised outputs, an extended WLTP electric range up to 143 km (89 miles), and a higher towing limit of 1,700 kg.
  • The refreshed A3 family will go on sale across Europe by the end of September 2026 with UK pricing for the S3 starting around £49,960 and the RS3 at about £63,655, while availability and pricing for other markets have not yet been confirmed.
