Audi Refreshes A3 with Curved Digital Cockpit and Advanced Parking

The update signals a shift to software-led cabins that move controls to screens, expand driver aids, preserve existing engines.

Overview

  • Audi revealed the A3 family update in late June with European sales set to begin in September 2026 and UK prices published for key models.
  • The interior swaps the twin-screen layout for a single curved ‘panoramic’ digital stage that combines an 11.9-inch virtual cockpit and a 12.8-inch infotainment display with new trim options.
  • Driver assistance is upgraded across tiered packages, including Adaptive Cruise Assist Plus with high-speed lane guidance to about 210 km/h, remote park assist, and a ‘trained parking’ function that can save and replay up to five manoeuvres.
  • Mechanical hardware is unchanged so performance variants remain, with the S3 keeping its four-cylinder and the RS3 retaining the 2.5-litre five-cylinder, while plug-in hybrids claim up to roughly 143 km WLTP electric range and a 1,700 kg towing rating.
  • The redesign removes the physical climate panel, shifts many controls to touch or voice and repositions the wireless charger, and initial reports conflict over steering-wheel button designs and some regional feature availability.
