Attack on Titan 3 Confirmed for Winter Release With Open-World Gameplay

It marks a shift to a persistent open world that reshapes combat via squad leadership, resource management, new boss encounters.

Overview

  • Koei Tecmo and Omega Force confirmed on July 2 that Attack on Titan 3 will arrive on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2 and PC via Steam during a winter 2026 release window with no firm date or price announced.
  • The game expands the franchise into a persistent open world where players scout territory, build supply bases and manage squad resources during missions outside the Walls.
  • Omni-directional mobility (ODM) combat has been revised with faster, tweaked controls, titans that show new attacks and behaviors, and a new Casual Mode to lower the skill barrier for players.
  • Attack on Titan 3 introduces the Nine Titans as first-time boss encounters and will receive a MAPPA-produced opening animation after launch rather than in the base game.
  • Players will create and lead a custom Scout who can recruit and command a Survey Squad, interact with Eren, Mikasa and Armin, and progress through a full campaign that retells the series while building on mechanics from the 2016 and 2018 games.
