Overview
- AT&T launched the Unlimited Day Pass on June 10, 2026, giving eligible iPads one complimentary 24-hour pass and additional passes for $3 each.
- The service works on eSIM-capable Wi‑Fi + Cellular iPad models and is activated directly from the device Settings with payment by debit or credit card and service beginning shortly after purchase.
- iPad owners do not need an AT&T account to buy a pass and the feature will work on devices originally provisioned for other U.S. carriers such as Verizon and T-Mobile.
- AT&T says the pass requires no subscription, contract, or credit check, but it may temporarily slow speeds for pass users when the network is congested.
- The company plans to extend the product to other 5G devices and offer multi-day options in the future which could reduce the need for occasional users to keep monthly tablet plans.
