Overview

  • AT&T launched the Unlimited Day Pass on June 10, 2026, offering eligible eSIM-capable Wi‑Fi + Cellular iPads a complimentary first 24‑hour pass and $3 for each subsequent day-long pass that activates in the iPad Settings.
  • Purchasing a pass triggers an automatic eSIM download that connects the iPad to AT&T’s network and requires a debit or credit card for payment.
  • The offering works for non-AT&T customers so long as the iPad supports eSIM and appears on AT&T’s compatibility list, allowing Verizon, T-Mobile and other subscribers to buy one-off access without switching carriers.
  • AT&T says the pass is data-only, excludes mobile hotspot use, usually limits video to standard definition, and may temporarily slow speeds during network congestion.
  • The carrier plans to test support for other 5G devices and multiday options such as weekend or week-long passes but has given no firm timeline, and reporting conflicts remain over whether the pass covers only the U.S. or also Canada and Mexico.
