Atlantic Hits Longest Stretch Without a Hurricane in Satellite Era

Meteorologists say a strengthening El Niño has increased wind shear and cooled key Atlantic waters, suppressing storm intensification and leaving the season's record outcomes uncertain through Nov. 30.
