ATEEZ Tops Billboard 200 With GOLDEN HOUR : Part.5

Heavy collectible physical sales drove a career-best U.S. week that extends ATEEZ’s run of top-10 albums.

Overview

  • Billboard’s chart preview on Sunday showed GOLDEN HOUR : Part.5 debuting at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 (dated July 11) with 228,000 equivalent album units for the week ending July 3.
  • The total was dominated by pure album sales, with 223,000 traditional sales and roughly 5,000 streaming-equivalent units (about 4.96 million on-demand streams).
  • The release gave ATEEZ their third Billboard 200 No. 1 following 2023 and 2024 toppers and extended their streak to nine consecutive top-10 albums, the most for any group in the 2020s.
  • Billboard and other outlets attribute the high sales to extensive physical product tactics, including 30 CD variants, five vinyl variants, randomized collectibles and signed editions that encourage multiple purchases.
  • In South Korea Hanteo reported about 1.88 million first-week sales for the album, and the chart success comes during a busy international run that includes recent festival headlining slots and TV appearances.
